Raine's personality wasn't exactly aggressive, but it was decisive, and not much got past her. She didn't put up with any idiocy, and was pretty strict. |

Raine was from Winhill, and owned a small florist shop in the town square. She lived above the pub, which she also owned, and adopted Ellone when her parents were killed by Esthar soldiers. Everyone in Winhill seems to remember her for her flowers, especially the white lilies which apparently, where her favourite.
When an injured Laguna Loire washed ashore from his escapades in Centra, Raine was the one who looked after him while he healed, even if she didn't exactly like him at first, since the rest of the town was pretty xenophobic. Eventually, she did grow to like him though. |

Raine is Squall Leonhart's Mom - and Laguna's his Dad. Okay, so they don't blatantly say it, but it's pretty freakin' obvious! Squall looks a lot like his mom (same colouring), and they practically give everything away when you reach Esthar in the game. Just talk to Kiros and Ward. They'll drop hints the blind could see. Actually, I figured it out as soon as Disk 2 started... |
